Until recently, many people had not heard the term before, “What is spiritual communion?” This is a phrase and question we have been repeating during this time of pandemic, but what does it really mean and what does it signify? And how do we act on our spiritual communion? Here, the Rev. Chris Wood, ‘16, interviews via Zoom cast Fr. Thomas Holtzen and Fr. Matthew Olver.

At Church of the Redeemer in Sarasota, Florida, Fr. Wood serves as Priest Associate for Christian Formation and Mission and Outreach. Originally from New York City, prior to ordination, Fr. Wood was a successful videographer and editor in New York before being called to ministry in Sarasota. During his time in the film industry, he edited two Emmy-nominated (2009) films (In the Footsteps of Marco Polo and The Otherside of Hip Hop- The Sixth Element), and won Big Apple Film Festival (2007).
