Introducing the More Together campaign

Nashotah House recently launched the More Together campaign, targeting 20% growth in our annual fund to support the formation of more seminarians.

We are asking both our faithful, long-time partners and first-time donors to join us in this effort.

Check out the video below to hear from Robin Little, our Senior Director of Advancement, about how you can support the House.

More Together FAQ

Why the annual fund?

This is the primary vehicle for funding our academic programs, student scholarships, and seminary operations. It is no secret that seminaries across the country are experiencing significant challenges; many have been forced to consolidate, downsize, and implement other cost-cutting measures. We are not immune to the very same financial headwinds. At this moment, growing our annual fund is a necessary step to ensure Nashotah House continues to flourish and serve seminarians for generations to come.

Why a 20% increase?

We’re in growth mode — and we have been for a while. In fact, between 2017 and 2021, our full-time equivalent enrollment grew by 94%, the highest growth rate among Anglican seminaries nationally. Amid this resurgence, we need more resources to ensure more students receive the distinctive formation and theological education we provide. We see 20% as an appropriately ambitious goal. Last year, donations to Nashotah House’s annual fund increased by nearly 25%. More Together builds on that momentum by inviting greater participation in the seminary’s recent growth.

How are you going meet that goal?

We’re employing a two-pronged approach in this campaign:

  1. In light of both the current need and promise, we are asking existing donors to consider a 20% increase in giving.

  2. We are seeking 200+ new partners to join our mission and broaden our base of support.

What does “More Together” mean?

We cannot do this work alone. To raise up the next generation of leaders for the Church, we must work together. More Together is therefore a nod to the “all-hands-on-deck” approach it will take to ensure that well-formed orthodox priests and lay leaders are sent out into the world and into our parishes. We are seeking the support of dioceses, parishes, alumni, foundations, and anyone who has a vision for the future leadership of the Church.

At Nashotah House, it is also part of our ethos to live, learn and worship alongside one another — across the lines that divide the Church today. Amid division and decline, it is our hope that this campaign would garner the participation of those from varying denominations and jurisdictions, in recognition of the unique gift that Nashotah House offers the body of Christ.

I can’t commit to giving more money right now. Can I still support the campaign somehow?

We understand that not everyone will have the capacity to increase their gift or become a donor at this time. There are plenty of other ways to get involved! See the graphic below listing five ways you can partner with us today. And don’t hesitate to reach out to Robin Little at rlittle@nashotah.edu with questions.
